How do you experience the Primal Games?
My experience with this tournament is that it is very well organized. The goal of the organization is to make every tournament a great one. Because of that, the tournament and de organization get better every time. For instance, the number of contestants keeps growing. The ambiance is fantastic and friendly.
What appeals to you in the Primal Games?
What appeals to me the most is the openness and the atmospheric character of this tournament. It’s special to see how fighters battle on the mat but immediately after the fight they are “friends” again.
What do you do in daily life?
In everyday life, I work as a general physiotherapist. Besides that, my passions are sports and photography. Within photography my interests are travel photography, all the different kinds of nature, culture, ambiance and street life and model photography. But of course, also sport events. I’m always interested in new experiences and challenges. That’s how you keep growing and developing as a person.
What sports do you practice?
Currently I’m mainly active in Brazilian jiu jitsu, judo, running and weight training.
What is your function during the Primal Games?
During the Primal Games you will mainly see me close to the fighting area as a photographer. I especially try to capture the ambiance of the Games. I watch what happens on the mats but it is also beautiful to see how the spectators sympathize with the ongoing battle. I try to capture these emotions on camera. These are the most beautiful moments.
